TULSA, OK -- There's an important meeting Tuesday for Tulsa Public School employees, especially those with years of experience.
During that meeting, Tulsa Public Schools will be encouraging those employees who are eligible to accept an early retirement offer by the school district.
Last week, Tulsa Public Schools made a deal with teachers, offering them a $5,000 bonus for retiring early.

On Thursday, the Tulsa School Board is expected to vote on a plan to pay school administrators their full salaries through July, if they retire before February.
The school district is pushing early retirements to try to save money, in light of the state budget shortfall.
