BROKEN ARROW---Young and old got together for a holiday celebration today at the Broken Arrow Senior Center. Students from Immanuel Christian School sang Christmas carols, and youngster from across the area delighted those in the crowd with ballet, tap numbers and more singing. Georgeana Rainwater, a community education teacher from Broken Arrow worked with the children for 10 weeks to perform such tunes as ‘I Love You, Santa Clause', ‘Merry Christmas to You', and "Away in a Manger.'
The children seem to like performing as much as the seniors did watching, their teacher even had the dancers pull members of the audience onto the floor for a final number.
‘I want them to love dance more than anything,' said Ms. Rainwater, ‘and if they go away loving dance, that just goes with them in their life.'
