Muskogee Man Pleads Guilty To Pennsylvania Sexual Assault Charges

PITTSBURGH, PA -- A 38-year-old Muskogee man pleaded guilty in a Pennsylvania courtroom Friday morning to six sexual assault charges. 

In February, Roger Bingham was arrested in Pennsylvania after getting involved with a 15-year-old teen he had chatted with on the Internet.

During Friday's hearing, Bingham pleaded guilty to one count each of statutory sexual assault and aggravated individual assault, and two counts each of unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a communication facility. 

The DA in Pennsylvania has recommended 6 to 12 years in prison. 

Roger Bingham still faces 26 counts of sodomy in Muskogee County. 

Muskogee County authorities say the former Eastern Workforce Investment employee is being investigated on complaints he sexually abused juveniles in the Muskogee area. 

Sentencing on the Pennsylvania charges is scheduled for February 2010.
