TULSA, OK -- An ORU senior rallied her friends and family - even Santa - for a very special holiday party.
They threw a big bash for all 500 students at Tulsa Public School's Marshall Elementary, 1142 East 56th Street on Thursday.
Brittany Loeber says it started off as an idea, then took on a life of its own. Area businesses and organizations got involved -- donating pizza, cookies, and money so each of the students would have a gift.
"They just need love and attention sometimes, and I remember being mentored, too, by the bigger kids," said organizer Brittany Loeber.. "And, this just shows them who a good example is, and you know that someone loves them."
"The whole Tulsa community should be commending the work of these students; it's just incredible," said Kayla Robinson, Marshall Elementary School principal.
Principal Robinson says Brittany and her friends really showed the students what it's like to be part of a community.
