TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Chapter of the Red Cross made it easy for Oklahomans to send holiday greetings to troops around the world. The agency set up a table at Promenade Mall for the "Holiday Mail for Heroes" program.
Organizers hope to collect enough cards for the nearly 1.5 million men and women in uniform - both here at home and overseas.
"Just a touch of home coming to them and seeing that the people here care enough to send a card and say thank you, that means a lot," said Rick Thomas, Emergency Services Program Coordinator.
The Red Cross set up a booth at the Promenade Mall Thursday, and shoppers lined up to sign cards.
If you missed the booth at the mall, you can still participate in the "Holiday Mail for Heroes" program.
