OSAGE COUNTY -- A family in Osage County lost their home to a fire late Tuesday night.

Kristen Hilton says her dog woke her from a deep sleep, allowing her family to escape the fire that destroyed their home, located at 11100 North 31st West Avenue in rural Osage County.

Hilton, her husband, David, and two sons ages three and seven escaped unharmed.

Firefighters say the fire started in the kitchen of the house.

The Country Corner Fire Department is having a fundraiser breakfast for the family on Saturday morning.

The family and their dog are staying with relatives in Skiatook.
