TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa County Sheriff's office unveils a new crime fighting tool.
It's a state-of-the-art armored barricade and they are the first in the country to get it.
The barrier is designed to provide protection from a variety of life-threatening situations.
"It's capable of stopping anything up to an AK47 armored piercing round. It can stop a five-thousand pound motor vehicle traveling at 30-miles an hour" says Sgt. Shannon Clark, Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say the 500-pound barrier is so versatile, it can be deployed by just one person.
It was paid for by a grant through the Department of Homeland Security.
