TULSA---Foot Solutions in cooperation with Soles4Souls today announced their charity shoe drive. Through the end of the year the shoe store located at 103rd and Memorial will be accepting new and gently worn shoes that will be shipped worldwide to needy people, whether they are victims of natural disasters or living in extreme poverty.
‘We can use the shoes taking up space in your closet to change the world one pair at a time,’ said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls, Inc. ‘We need out partners in Tulsa to step up and get behind our call for action. It’s one of the most simple yet profound gifts you can make, because it will greatly improve someone’s life in the most difficult of times.’
Soles4Souls is a non-profit charity that has distributed over 5.5 million pairs of shoes, Foot Solutions owner Kathy Roberson said she hopes to collect over 40,000 pairs from Tulsans alone.
‘We’ve done this for several years and it’s just a great way that we like to give back to the community,’ said Kathy, ‘we just collect shoes and send them to this organization and they send them all over the world.’
