SAND SPRINGS, OK -- Sand Springs firefighters rescued a woman from a burning house early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters say a transformer exploded on a utility pole next to the roof of a home in the 900 block of North Franklin Avenue a little before 5 a.m.

The transformer fell on the house's roof and caught fire.

An unidentified woman in her 80's was inside at the time, but firefighters were able to get her out okay.

There is no word on what caused the transformer to explode.
