TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police say a 31-year-old man wanted as a person of interest after an early-morning shooting, which left a Tulsa man dead, has been arrested in St. Louis.
The shooting happened near a taco stand at the Quik Mart at 41st Street near 109th East Avenue at 2:27 a.m. Monday.
Police say two men pulled up to a group of people hanging out in the parking lot. Police say there was an argument and one of the men in the pickup truck pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The victim, identified as 20-year-old Erik Victorino, was shot in the back. EMSA took Victorino to a Tulsa hospital, where police say he died shortly after 5:30 a.m.
The Missouri Highway Patrol say 31-year-old Luis Alberto Mendoza was arrested Monday morning near St. Louis.
Police say both Victorino and his brother told officers they knew the gunman.
Police say Mendoza was driving a 2003 Blue Ford ¾ ton King Ranch Quad Cab Truck with tan rocker panels and chrome rims. Witnesses say the truck was the pickup truck involved in the shooting.
