TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police say a 31-year-old man wanted as a person of interest after an early-morning shooting, which left a Tulsa man dead, has been arrested in St. Louis.

The shooting happened near a taco stand at the Quik Mart at 41st Street near 109th East Avenue at 2:27 a.m. Monday.

Police say two men pulled up to a group of people hanging out in the parking lot. Police say there was an argument and one of the men in the pickup truck pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The victim, identified as 20-year-old Erik Victorino, was shot in the back. EMSA took Victorino to a Tulsa hospital, where police say he died shortly after 5:30 a.m.

The Missouri Highway Patrol say 31-year-old Luis Alberto Mendoza was arrested Monday morning near St. Louis.

Police say both Victorino and his brother told officers they knew the gunman.

Police say Mendoza was driving a 2003 Blue Ford ¾ ton King Ranch Quad Cab Truck with tan rocker panels and chrome rims.  Witnesses say the truck was the pickup truck involved in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
