Semi Truck Damages Downtown Tulsa Traffic Light

TULSA, OK -- The driver of a semi tractor trailer was injured overnight after losing control of his semi.

The accident happened near 6th and Denver just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Tulsa Police say the driver of the semi was headed south on Denver when the accident happened.

The 18-wheeler struck a sign, two stoplights, and a light pole before coming to a stop.

The driver was taken a Tulsa hospital, but is expected to be okay.

There is no word on what caused the driver to lose control.
