TULSA, OK -- Home plate from the old Tulsa Drillers Stadium moved into the team's new home Monday afternoon.

A helicopter flew the home plate from the old Drillers Stadium at 15th & Yale to the new ONEOK Field downtown.

"We just thought it was appropriate to take the old home plate, move it over to ONEOK Field, as we begin our chapter in Tulsa professional baseball history and we thought it would be kinda fun to do it with Hornsby and a helicopter," said Chuck Lamson, Drillers owner.

The stadium is coming together, piece by piece.

Sod has been laid, seats will be installed next month, and the scoreboard goes up in December.
