TULSA, OK -- A Rogers County father and son are getting some much deserved recognition.
Chub and Chaz Brewer were honored Tuesday evening with the "Citizen Rescuer Award" for helping save a little girl's life.
When 2-year-old Cari Thomas went missing near Lake Oologah last August, the pair saddled up and went searching on horseback.

The men found the little girl and returned her safely to her parents.
"It's a big honor. It really is. But the main thing is that the little girl is safe with her family, that's the main thing," said Chub Brewer.
Since the incident, Chub and Chaz have eaten dinner with little Cari's family and even taken Cari's dad fishing, but to the Brewer men, this is a lot of fuss over something they view as ordinary.
