TULSA---Amanda Wilson is a first grade teacher at Lincoln Christian school, and on a recent vacation she fulfilled a life-long dream, getting on The Price is Right. She waited for what she felt was an eternity on contestant's row.
‘At one point I bid on two bikes and was a dollar over-that really stunk,' said Amanda, ‘I bid on a tool chest, I bid on...well, it took me five bids to get up onto the stage, so I was there quite a while. I was starting to get worried that I wouldn't even get up there!'
But Amanda bid on a cell phone and won it, and a trip up on stage to meet Drew Carey. Unfortunately she had listened to her father's sage advice that the price of a car never ends with a five. She lost the car and now thinks her dad owes her one.
‘The experience was enough for me, it was totally unbelievable,' she finally admitted.
Guess you're off the hook dad.
