Haskell Gardener's Pumpkin Wins 4th Place In Missouri Weigh Off

A Muskogee County pumpkin lined up against some of the biggest in the country at Republic, Missouri's "Pumpkin Daze" and came in fourth place.

MUSKOGEE COUNTY -- The results are in from a great pumpkin weigh off.

A Muskogee County pumpkin lined up against some of the biggest in the country at Republic, Missouri's "Pumpkin Daze" and came in fourth place. 

Pat Benner's giant pumpkin weighed 685 pounds. He says that sets a new record in Oklahoma.

The winning pumpkin at this year's Pumpkin Daze came in at 1,062.5 pounds.

You can see Pat's pumpkin at the Haskell Homeland Store where they're holding a guess how many seeds are inside contest for about another week. After that, the pumpkin will go on display at Carmichael's in Bixby.
