SAND SPRINGS---Journey Stories is a compelling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution that is currently at the Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum. Part of the Museum on Main Street program, the travelling exhibition features displays highlighting the history of travel, immigration and transportation in America.
‘We're one of the six communities in the state of Oklahoma to get this exhibit,' said Sand Springs Museum Association Chairperson Patty Dixon, ‘there's many groups in here, we have the pilgrims, we have slave that were brought over-how they were brought over from Africa, we have trolleys and everything up to space travel.'
The exhibition runs October 3rd through November 13th and is free to the public.
The Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum is located at 9 East Broadway in Sand Springs.
