Distribution Of The Swine Flu Vaccine Begins In Oklahoma

TULSA, OK -- The vaccine arrives in Oklahoma for the H1N1 virus.

A few county health departments across the state received the first shipment of vaccine Monday. 

Tulsa County and most other health departments expect shipments to arrive on Tuesday.

In Tulsa, the first swine flu vaccinations given by the Tulsa Health Department will be limited to health care workers.

The first doses available will be the nasal spray version, not the shot. As more vaccine becomes available, it will be distributed to broader groups of people at high risk.

Vaccinations for the seasonal flu are available without restrictions.  In Tulsa, the seasonal flu shots are given by the Tulsa Health Department each day.
