Molasses Truck Accident Shuts Down Tulsa Highway

TULSA, OK -- A tanker semi overturned on I-244, shutting down the westbound lanes of the highway for almost 2 hours Tuesday morning. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the truck rolled onto its side on I-244 near the Lewis exit. 

Westbound traffic was forced to exit before Yale while crews cleaned up the mess.  The OHP says the truck was carrying molasses for cattle feed.

The driver was not hurt in the accident.

Tulsa Fire and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation were called in to help clean up the mess.
