MIAMI – The weather system that was once Tropical Storm Marty has weakened to a remnant in the Pacific off the coast of Mexico.
The National Hurricane Center says the system's maximum sustained winds decreased to near 30 mph (45 kph) on Saturday.
The storm is centered about 580 miles (930 kilometers) west of the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula. The system is moving west-northwest near 12 mph (19 kph).
