TULSA, OK -- More than a dozen officers took an oath Saturday night to protect and serve.
After months of training, thirteen reserve police officers graduated from the academy.
Once they hit the streets, they'll help regular officers on patrol and with emergencies and community events.
"We consider ourselves real fortunate to have this class for this year. I hope to have another one next year; it just all depends on how the budget goes," said Dep. Director Gerald Dust, Tulsa Reserve Police.
Including the new 13 graduates, Tulsa has 58 reserve officers.
