TULSA, OK -- A program of Mental Health Association in Tulsa is celebrating 10 years of teen suicide prevention work with Tulsa area schools.
After a spike in suicides in 1999, Mental Health Association created an organization called SafeTeam to help teens cope with stress and mental illness.
SafeTeam officials held a 5K walk Sunday to celebrate 10 years of suicide prevention work.
After the walk, family members remembered their loved ones lost to suicide by releasing flowers into a pond, along with a moment of silence.
