TULSA, OK -- Because of the chance for rain this Saturday, the Spirit of Tulsa Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force is postponing its Wings Over Tulsa event until Saturday, November 7th.
The squadron says the weather would have made it difficult for both people and aircraft trying to attend the event.
Organizers of the event say is being rescheduled to coincide with their annual "Celebrate Freedom" hangar dance for that Saturday.
The event is held each year at Jones Riverside Airport in Jenks.
All proceeds from the sale of tickets to Wings Over Tulsa and the Celebrate Freedom hangar dance go directly to restoring the PT-19 owned by the Spirit of Tulsa Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force.
The squadron is restoring the aircraft to flying condition.
The PT-19 was used to train pilots for combat missions during World War II.
