TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa church and some local hair stylists came together today for a good cause. Area hair stylists cut and styled hair for kids and adults who've been hit hard in the down economy.
"We're really interested in reaching out to the families that have been affected by the economic downturn, and we're trying to do more than just pray for them - we really want to find ways to help them," said Bishop Robert Stone of Christchurch,
All of the stylists donated their services for free. They had 60 haircuts booked, and at least a dozen walk-ins throughout the day.
The Mane Event took place at Christchurch, 3 South 41st W. Ave. in Tulsa.
