CATOOSA, OK -- A smoldering fire at OK Filters, 500 North 145th East Avenue, kept Tulsa and Catoosa firefighters busy for several hours Sunday morning and sent at least three to the hospital for heat-related illness.

A Rogers Co. Sheriff's deputy alerted Tulsa Fire of the warehouse blaze at about 6:45 a.m.

Fire officials say the building was full of cardboard boxes with paper air filters and produced considerable smoke and fire.

Firefighters remained on scene throughout the morning, battling hot spots in the warehouse.

At least three firefighters were taken to Hillcrest Hospital with heat-related illness.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
