TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are still looking for a man after a bank robbery on Wednesday afternoon. It happened just after 3 p.m. on Garnett Road.
Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker tells The News On 6 the suspect walked into the IBC Bank at 4202 S. Garnett Road and began a transaction as if he was a customer. He then demanded that the tellers turn around and give him their cash.
Sgt. Walker says the suspect was threatening in his tone, claimed to have a handgun, and threated to shoot anyone who did not comply.
Tulsa Police say the suspect gave bank employees a brown plastic bag to put the money in and he fled from the bank.
Sgt. Walker describes the suspect as a black man, 5'6" and 150 pounds. He's believed to be in his late 20s.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
