SAND SPRINGS, OK -- The City of Sand Springs is cracking down on lighting up. The city has approved new smoking ordinances that go into effect at the end of the month.
The new laws are mostly the same, but have stricter punishments if broken. For example, anyone smoking in a city building or near its entrance can be ticketed $50.
Minors caught using tobacco and businesses that sell tobacco to those underage can face fines of $100.
