STROUD, OK -- A three-year-old involved in a traffic accident Saturday on Highway 99, about six miles north of Stroud, has died.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports Jakota Charles McNew died at the OU Medical Center at 4:25 p.m. Sunday. The three-year-old was taken to the hospital Saturday by medical flight and was admitted in critical condition.
The child was riding in a Mustang with five other people when troopers say the driver ran a stop sign and was t-boned by an SUV. The driver of the Mustang, Victor Dean Frazier, 44, died at the scene.
Four others from the Mustang are still in serious condition.
The four people in the SUV survived. The driver is listed in fair condition. The passengers are in the hospital in stable condition.
