LANGLEY, OK -- A 20-year-old Ketchum man lost his life on a county road just outside Langley Friday night. Matthew Johnston was killed at about 10 p.m. after his pickup left County Road NS 446.5 and struck two trees.

Excessive speed contributed to the accident, and the odor of alcoholic beverages was present, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Seat belts were in use, the report states. The 1994 Chevy pickup was not equipped with airbags.

The road is just east of the town of Langley in Mayes County.
