MUSKOGEE, OK -- U.S. Senator Tom Coburn of Muskogee is hosting a series of town hall meetings across Oklahoma beginning on Thursday morning.
The number one topic is expected to be health care.
Coburn says many Oklahomans are upset that the federal government is even considering getting involved in health care.
The Obama administration is firing back. The administration says Oklahomans should be more upset with the current system.
His staff released a report labeling the state's health care as "weak."
They say the average family's premium has gone up 77% since 2000. Obama says 17% of Oklahomans avoid going to the doctor because they can't afford it.
Coburn says he is hosting the town meetings so Oklahomans can voice their opinion.
