Oklahoma Schools Notified Of Their Funding Allocations

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- School districts across the state have been notified of their State Aid allocations for the upcoming 2009-10 school year. 

In a news release, Oklahoma Superintendent Sandy Garrett says this year, State Aid allocations to school districts include $167 million in federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act economic stimulus funding.

Garrett says state lawmakers and the governor included the stimulus funding in schools' appropriations for Fiscal Year 2010 to avoid a sizable cut to school operations.
