TULSA, OK -- Tulsa motorists were able to buy gasoline for $1.59 a gallon at the Kum & Go store at 11296 East 71st Street in Tulsa Monday morning.
Kum & Go says the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week and the discounted price of gasoline is a way of saying thank you.
Regular gasoline and diesel is selling for $1.59 a gallon.
"This is Kum & Go's special way of saying thanks to Tulsa," said Kevin W. Krause, Senior Vice President of Marketing. "We are proud of our 50 years of quality service to our customers and are excited the next 50 years of community partnership in Oklahoma."
Kum & Go says on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m, additional Kum & Go gasoline discount locations in the Tulsa area will be announced.
The announcement will be made before 7 a.m. on Tulsa radio station FM 92.1 KTBT.
The family-owned company began in 1959 in Iowa, and has grown to more than 400 convenience stores in 12 states.
