Tulsa Police: Beware Of Unsolicited Calls

TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsans are receiving telephone calls from an organization soliciting funds in the name of Chief Palmer of the Tulsa Police Department.

TPD reports Chief Palmer has not endorsed any organization and has not given anyone permission to use his name to solicit funds.

While some organizations that solicit funds by phone are legit, the Tulsa Police Department says everyone should always be aware of the possibility it's not.

Tulsa police say to never give personal information, credit card numbers or bank account information to an unsolicited caller.
