Tulsa Police will launch phase one of its Hispanic Community Outreach Program, an initiative aimed at building bridges between law enforcement and the Hispanic community, at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mingo Valley Division building.

The program is a trust-building effort with the goal of reducing crime rates and the victimization of Tulsa's Hispanic population.

The Hispanic Community Outreach Program is a coalition of the TPD, The Tulsa Crime Commission, The American Dream Coalition and the Tulsa Hispanic Resources Association.

The gathering will take place in the Public Meeting Room at the division, 10122 E. 11th St.
