Man Found Dead In McAlester

McAlester police are awaiting the results of an autopsy on the body of a man who was found dead in a grassy area.

McALESTER, OK -- McAlester police are awaiting the results of an autopsy on the body of a man who was found dead in a grassy area.

Officers responding to a call from a concerned resident about 9:45 a.m. Saturday found Denny Billy near an underpass. Officials say the 65-year-old was homeless.

Capt. Don Hass says no cause of death has been determined, but it appears Billy died of natural causes.

Police are awaiting a report from the state medical examiner.
