Broken Arrow Fire Chief Dismissed

BROKEN ARROW, OK -- The City of Broken Arrow has fired its fire chief. 

Broken Arrow Fire Chief Jackie Carner was placed on administrative leave on May 29^th for alleged violations of city policies.

After a review, interim City Manager Dave Wooden ruled on Friday to terminate Carner for violating city policies and insubordination.

Deputy Chief Steve Jarrett will serve as the interim fire chief. 

Carner joined the Broken Arrow Fire Department in July of 2008 and was a probationary employee.
