TULSA, OK -- There is a threat of severe weather for Tuesday afternoon and evening. Highs in the upper 80s will be likely with a breezy south wind. If storms form, they would likely be severe.
Warn Team Meteorologist Dick Faurot warns there is a significant threat of tornadoes.

"The upper air pattern will remain unsettled," Dick said. "This will bring a front near or even south of the area by Thursday morning. The result will be an increase of storm chances Wednesday evening into Thursday morning. Some strong to severe storms will be possible as thunderstorms are expected to form a complex and move across the area by Thursday morning."
The front is expected to again move northward by Friday before trying to slide south of the area for a day or two this weekend," said Dick. "The confidence in the extended forecast is low on my part regarding storm chances , but the temperature forecast is fairly high. There will be changes to the probability of precipitation over the next few days, so please check often for updates."
