SAND SPRINGS, OK -- Thanks to a tip, the Sand Springs Police Department found an active lab and the remnants of four other shake-and-bake operations at a trailer at a mobile home park.
Police Sgt. John Tillman said one of the labs was found in the bathroom of the trailer near State Highway 97 and 56th Street South. The rest were in the trash out front.
Tillman say someone called 911 about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to complain about a suspicious chemical odor. When crews arrived on scene, there was a strong smell and the smoke was so thick it looked like the trailer was on fire.
At least five people inside the trailer were arrested on drug complaints -- Michael Becker, 27, of Sand Springs; Troy Weaver, 36, of Sapulpa; Jefferson Potts, 36, of Sapulpa; Michael Knighton of Tulsa, and Marvill Howell of Tulsa.
Tillman says other residents of the Shannon Valley Mobile Park could have been in danger.
"Had this trailer caught on fire there's no doubt in my mind surrounding trailers would have been damaged if not consumed by fire themselves before we could have done anything about it," Tillman said

A hazmat team had to be called in to help clean up the trailer.
