TULSA, OK -- As General Motors moves through its bankruptcy, the company intends to close 1,100 dealerships this year. No Tulsa-area dealerships say they're on the closing list.
GM sent out letters on Tuesday to all dealers either inviting them to sign a new contract with the new GM or telling them they will no longer be part of the company in 18 months.
Representatives with dealers Bob Hurley, Marc Miller, Jerry Ferguson, Jim Glover, Don Thornton, Riverside, Speedway, Keystone and Danny Beck all say they will stay open.
The News On 6 did not hear back from South Pointe Chevrolet.
