PERRY, OK -- Ditch Witch announced Wednesday morning that it will be reducing its workforce by 10-percent in Perry.
The Perry-based company employs about 1,100 people. The number of workers that will be laid off will be 105.
"It is very hard to make these decisions when it impacts the lives of our employees and families," Corporate Services Director Dave Lamerton said. "Even though the reductions were kept to a minimum, every employee is considered a part of our corporate family. Any loss is difficult to deal with in these economic times. Due to the global recession we need to take these measures to ensure the long term health of the company."
Ditch Witch had already furloughed workers twice this year.
