BROKEN ARROW, OK -- Students in Broken Arrow celebrated the opening of their new performing arts center Tuesday.
The school held a ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of its new 8,600 square foot facility. The facility is something administrators say the school desperately needed.
"The fact is we have been laboring with one small auditorium for 16,000 students to use for as long as I can remember," said Dr. Gary Gerber, Broken Arrow superintendent.
The new PAC cost more than $26 million to build and was paid for by a city school bond.
Gerber says when the students aren't using the building, the community will be able to rent it out.
