Green Grilling
A few easy changes can make your grilling routine more eco-friendly:

  • Choose hardwood charcoal instead of chemical-laden briquettes. Real hardwood charcoal is made from natural, untreated scraps and trimmings that would normally go to waste.
  • Use a chimney starter instead of lighter fluid. Our stores offer an exclusive hardwood charcoal with built-in chimney starter.
  • Add natural flavor to your fire with untreated hickory or mesquite hardwood chips for grilling and smoking.
  • Grill extra veggies on lingering hot coals so the energy produced by them doesn't go to waste; then use them the next day in a pasta salad, sandwiches or other recipes.
