LOS ANGELES (AP) - An apartment building in Long Beach, Calif., has been evacuated due to roof damage sustained from a small earthquake that shook the area hours earlier.

A dispatcher at the Long Beach Fire Department says at least a dozen people were evacuated Tuesday night after someone noticed damage to the building's eaves. No injuries were reported.

Earlier in the afternoon, a magnitude-4 temblor hit north of Long Beach near the Los Angeles International Airport.

The aftershock occurred near the epicenter of Sunday's 4.7 quake, which caused strong shaking and light damage in the beach towns south of the airport.
