TULSA, OK -- The Corps of Engineers reports many Tulsa District lakes are holding significant amounts of water in their flood pools.
With Memorial Day weekend coming up, high water levels could put a damper on plans. Many campsites are unavailable and unusual water hazards exist.
"Please be careful," said Col. Anthony Funkhouser, district commander. "Picnic tables, charcoal grills, and entire trees are now underwater."
Funkhouser said driftwood also presents a significant boating hazard, so operators need to be especially cautious.

Additional rainfall across the area could change the forecast.
You can check the district website for the latest information. Lake offices will open sites and ramps as soon as they become useable.
