UNDATED -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol calls its unprecedented traffic crackdown a big success. Nearly two dozen troopers hit the roads on Friday night writing tickets for the five violations they say most contribute to deadly accidents.
In just five hours, troopers wrote 186 tickets and made four DUI arrests. They also wrote 122 warnings.
Troopers say the crackdown was in response to public outcry about all the crashes around the area.
