OKLAHOMA CITY -- Big 12 player of the year Amber Flores and Karolyne Long homered as Oklahoma beat Texas 6-2 Saturday night to advance to the conference championship game.
The top-seeded Sooners will face No. 2 seed Missouri, which made it to Sunday's title game by beating Baylor 1-0 in the other semifinal.
Long put Oklahoma ahead 2-1 with her two-run home run off of Texas starter Brittany Barnhill (24-13) in the second inning. The Sooners tacked on three more runs in the third before Flores hit her Big 12-leading 17th home run of the season to make it 6-2 and chase Barnhill from the game in the fifth inning.
Courtney Craig had three hits and scored once for fourth-seeded Texas.
