On Tuesday, construction crews will begin installing the bridge beams across the turnpike at 11 a.m., weather permitting.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will begin a rolling road-block nine miles on either side of State
Highway 18 to allow crews to place each bridge beam. Crews say each rolling road block should take no more than 30 minutes.
Motorists wishing to avoid the construction zone should exit at Wellston if traveling eastbound and take State Highway 66 to Stroud where they can regain access to the turnpike. Motorists traveling westbound should exit at Stroud and take State Highway 66 to Wellston and then rejoin the turnpike.
