BROKEN ARROW, OK-- The high water causes high anxiety for a Broken Arrow family who says every time the area gets heavy rain, their property gets swamped.
Jennifer Miller says this time the water missed flooding her home, by only a few inches. She hasn't been as lucky in the past. Miller's home has been flooded three times. The first time three years ago, repairs cost her $45,000 out of her own pocket.
The City of Broken Arrow is taking some steps to alleviate flooding problems in the area, but Miller says it's not happening fast enough.
"Seeing my brand new home down to the studs the first time was heartbreaking, but having it happen this many times over makes me angry. That nobody is protecting me," said Jennifer Miller of Broken Arrow.
Though she was lucky this time, Miller worries her home could flood this weekend, with the ground already saturated and more rain in the forecast.
