Free Landfill Days In Tulsa

TULSA, OK -- Tulsans can dump unwanted items in the Quarry Landfill for free two weekends in April.

The City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy are hosting the event as a way for Tulsans to help keep neighborhoods clean and safe.

Anyone who wants to participate must show a City of Tulsa utility bill or a driver's license with an address within the Tulsa city limits in order to be admitted to the landfill.

No items containing Freon refrigerant, such as air conditioners or refrigerators, will be accepted.

There will be a $2 fee for each discarded tire. That covers state fees for disposal and recycling tires.

LOCATION:

• Quarry Landfill, 13740 East 46th Street North
• The entrance is on 46th Street North, approximately 1 ½ miles east of U.S. 169. There are two landfills on East 46th Street North. Look for the Quarry Waste Management Inc. signs.

• Sunday, April 19
• Saturday, April 25
• Sunday, April 26

• 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
