TULSA, OK -- Authorities in North Carolina are hoping to locate a stolen Rolex watch sold at the Tulsa County Fairgrounds' Expo Square earlier this month.
Investigator Tyree Davis with the Halifax County Sheriff's Office says about 2 weeks ago, someone stole more than $25,000 worth of jewelry from a home in their county.
Included in the list of stolen items was a two tone gold and silver band Rolex with a blue dial and yellow face.
Davis says they were able to track the Rolex to a pawn dealer in North Carolina, who sold it to a broker in Texas. The broker then sold the watch to someone in the Tulsa area on April 4.
Davis says the Rolex has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database as being stolen and some unsuspecting citizen could get into trouble for having the watch.
If anyone has information about the Rolex, call Tyreee Davis at 252-593-1019 or 252-583-1991.
