Man Injured After Being Hit By Car In Tulsa

TULSA, OK -- A man is recovering from injuries suffered after being hit by a car.

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say it happened shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday when the man was crossing the street between Camille's Sidewalk Café and White Owl restaurant on 15th street.

Police say a car was traveling west on 15th street when the man ran into the street from behind a taxi. He was hit by the car.

Police say the man suffered a serious leg injury.

The driver passed a field sobriety test.

Police say the man was at fault because he was not walking in a crosswalk and was therefore jaywalking.

Police say they did not issue any citations.
